Left orphaned by the Holocaust, Marcel Braitstein came to Montreal in an attempt to rediscover the identity he had lost while assuming a Christian name in Belgium. After carving out his own path through art school and teaching, he found his niche as a sculptor and writer while finding home in Canada.
