Though the life of her first-born was taken during the Holocaust, Rosa Svarc survived both Bergen-Belsen and Auschwitz and rebuilt her life and family in Montreal. Whether through her extensive diaries or her granddaughter’s touching homage, the memory of Rosa’s survival remains preserved.
